Job Title:
OSS Software Engineer – development or testing

4 Q: Y, C6 z; j( o9 y% `General Purpose:
Work as Software Engineer in OSS R&D team, responsible for S/W Design, Implementation, Integration & Verification, and S/W Maintenance. Co-operate with other function teams to make sure the software can be delivered on time with high quality under agile operation mode in Network Management domain.


Main Responsibility Areas:
  ~9 ]2 `! Y  Y- Overall dev and/or test responsibility of assigned areas (e.g. features)
- Plans, designs and executes items in own area.
- Participate work effort estimation and deliverable review in own area.
- Perform system level problem isolation and resolution (i.e. Apply knowledge and experience to
determine root cause and solution)
" z  T) j$ e* v" J( e/ T- Is responsible for sharing knowledge in his/her expertise area.
- Give input to continuous improvement.
* ]5 U! ^+ Q" K, l9 [+ E# w
; Y- l3 u+ }- F! C% d
) n5 E) n! l8 \) G  {. W
Key Requirements:
- Solid Java programming knowledge and experience
* l3 k9 q0 C/ @( r! _9 ~+ Z- Good DB (e.g. Oracle), Linux/Unix, ClearCase/SVN knowledge and experience
& M9 @, l, _  F# G- Agile and Iterative S/W development experience
- Strong system level troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* ?/ W- o  G- n( w- Knowledge of script languages, like Perl, Shell, Python script
- S/W Testing experience is a plus
- Telecommunication and network management (e.g. TMN, SNMP, Web Service) knowledge is a plus
# q) B9 y0 v# l1 z/ I- (A)TDD and Test automation experience is a plus
* j! f! e4 M' ]1 f! B3 c- Fluent spoken and written English skill
) }: P3 G5 J+ W1 Z& f# K2 O' r- Master (1+ years’ experience) or Bachelor (1+ years’ experience) degree in S/W engineering, Computer science or Telecommunication
